While the "X-Men: Apocalypse" movie is still six months away, reports and rumors are buzzing around the social media. Recently, details about Quicksilver were revealed offering a sneak peek of what to expect from the speedy mutant.
During an interview on Details, Evan Peters who plays the role of Quicksilver hinted some major details about his character role in the latest X-Men film entry. "The story is that my character is searching for his father and wants to find him," he said. "It starts there and then he jumps on the X-Men train and gets sucked up in this whole Apocalypse madness: he tries to stop him from destroying the world."
Furthermore, IGN indicated that 20th Century Fox's "X-Men: Apocalypse" movie will be the greatest and biggest X-Men film so far according to Peters. With the title itself, the movie will have an enormous scope.
But when asked if the movie will be something related or similar to a zombie apocalypse, he laughed it out with a no. Collider reported that Quicksilver might be seen in the midst of the warring factions. Although it was cleared that he will be fighting against Apocalypse, it's yet uncertain whether his father feels the same way or not.
In the "X-Men: Apocalypse," sources say Quicksilver will be joining the X-Team. He will then have an integral part on the team's success in defeating Apocalypse. Michael Fassbender will be playing the role of Quicksilver's father, Magneto.
Magneto becomes one of the titular Apocalypse's lieutenants, the Four Horsemen, including Storm (Alexandra Shipp), Archangel (Ben Hardy), and Psylocke (Olivia Munn). The Apocalypse is the main reason why Magneto out to devastate the world rather than doing his regular M.O of simply assassinating or converting all non-mutants.
Aside from Quicksilver's revelation, further details are being kept under wraps. However, rumors say that the film will be having reshoots next year following Hugh Jackman's Wolverine's appearance in the "X-Men: Apocalypse" movie.
