Since the announcement of the X-Men: Apocalypse movie franchise, people are curious as to how the story will come out. But Simon Kinberg, writer/producer, has hinted some details regarding the movie.
In an interview with the Collider, Kinberg revealed that "X-Men: Apocalypse" will be the conclusion of a trilogy. "It delivers on the dramatic story and emotion of the last two movies. It feels like the culmination of the four main characters really - McAvoy, Fassbender, Nic Hoult, and Jen Lawrence," he said.
However, it will be more than a culmination. He reiterated that the movie will be a lot enormous in some forms. "And it's a bigger movie in both physical scale and I would say emotional stakes too because it is the culmination of this mini trilogy of stories," he stated.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jennifer Lawrence has already confirmed that her contract will end after the Apocalypse. So, this will be her last X-Men movie. On the other hand, Hoult and Fassbender will still be open for any future installments. Moreover, Mystique (Lawrence) was known for her power to change her appearance resembling whoever she wants. With that, the team won't be having a problem recasting her role.
With all the changes since the first movie in 2000, some alterations were observed in the following films. In an article on the Movie Web, it was stated that the X-Men franchise is in a state of constant change. In the upcoming movie, Anna Paquin confirmed that she will not be present as Rogue in the upcoming sequel film. But, she did not specify why she won't be reprising her role.
In the previous X-Men movie, some characters were missing. But, it was recently revealed that some of the major characters will be reprising their roles. Aside from Hoult, Fassbender, Lawrence and McAvoy, Lucas Till will also be joining back. Alongside the titular character roles, new stars will also be appearing in the "X-Men: Apocalypse".
"X-Men: Apocalypse" will unlikely be the previous film, it will be a bit more intriguing. But, only the fans can tell once the movie comes out on May 2016.
