Country singer Miranda Lambert says she's not shocked that newly-ex-husband and fellow country singer Blake Shelton moved on so fast from the divorce and she's even less surprised that it's with Gwen Stefani. However, the ex-wife's reaction doesn't mean she's not hurting anymore.
Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani finally confirmed that they are dating. A rep for Blake Shelton released a statement to FoxNews on Wednesday, November 4, saying, "Gwen and Blake are longtime friends who have very recently started dating." For someone who just got out of a 4-year and 13-year relationship, they seemed to have moved on so fast. Of course, it didn't sit well with Miranda Lambert. After being silent amidst all these dating rumors, she finally spoke out about what she has to say regarding the matter.
The fans were all shocked when she reportedly said that she's 'not surprised' that the dating rumors came true. Why? Because according to E! Online, the new couple have always been 'pretty flirty' and have always shown that they are interested in each other even when Shelton and Lambert were still married. The sources also said that even if Shelton and Stefani's romance came as no surprise to Lambert, she was still surprised at how fast Shelton and Stefani made the relationship public.
The Country Music Awards was set to take place the night of November 4, the day the statement confirming Shelton and Stefani's relationship was released. Just mere hours after the confirmation, Lambert and Shelton were reunited again at the said awards show. Everyone expected things to get awkward and even catty between Stefani and Lambert, but they were all so civilized.
However, the 31-year old female country singer wasn't able to keep her tears on lock as she put on a quite emotional performance of her song "Bathroom Sink" as posted by Hollywood Life. On the contrary, her ex-husband put out a performance with all smiles. Nonetheless, they both killed it and looked amazing. The night ended with Miranda taking home the tile 'Female Vocalist of The Year'.
Overall, Shelton and Lambert admitted to not having hard feelings for each other after their divorce. Their fans are hoping the best for both of them career-wise and personal life-wise.
