Huawei will offer an all new experience to the existing Honor smartphone series. The company is to develop its Honor smartphone lineup to the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow featuring its EMUI stock Android. It is expected that the company will release its update in early 2016. Moreover, the marshmallow update will be available to Honor series handsets like Honor 7, Honor 6 Plus, Honor 6, Honor 4X, and Honor 4C.

The Marshmallow update for Huawei Honor series will start to roll out in February 2016, according to Yibada. The announcement was made by the Indian subsidiary of Honor brand this last November 1. In addition, Honor India's current rollout timeline is impressive considering that the smartphone manufacturer usually takes a lot of time of waiting before the rolling out of Android software update will come upon to its handsets. However, it is not as sooner as it's expected.

In the meantime, Huawei is early to access the Android Marshmallow. Based on the reports of IBTimes, Huawei Honor 7, Honor 6 Plus, Honor 6, Honor 4X, and Honor 4C devices feature a proprietary EMUI to deliver a notable experience over stock Android. Although, it demands a great deal of effort to add a Custom ROM like EMUI on Android. Additionally, if anyone remembers about the two latest handsets of Google that launched recently, Huawei manufactures one of the Nexus devices that come with Android Marshmallow. Probably through that, the company could access the codes that enable the development progress instantly.

Furthermore, the report from NDTV cited that Huawei plans to beta test the Android Marshmallow on at least one of its devices. It was said by the Marketing Executive Xi Zhao given to the news, which stated from the source. The Marketing Executive added that Honor 7 users should expect to witness a beta test of Android Marshmallow in a few weeks. The beta testing serves to achieve the stabled Android Marshmallow before it will be released.

It is good news to hear that Huawei Honor 7, Honor 6 Plus, Honor 6, Honor 4X, and Honor 4C will be receiving the update of Marshmallow earlier than anticipated. For the meantime, Huawei hasn't yet unveiled the further details of the update schedule. However, it is certain that the Honor series users could receive the Android Marshmallow update through OTA.
