Blizzard Entertainment is happy to announce the newest expansion for Hearthstone, 'The League of Explorers' pack at the two-day BlizzCon 2015 event currently being held up to today, November 7.This next DLC will be adding lots of exciting features, new mechanic, and more cards to the game.
According to Game Spot, this awesome news to all Hearthstone hardcore fans is announced by Blizzard as player base has reached 40 million users. At the opening ceremony of BlizzCon 2015, The League of Explorers pack is confirmed to contain new cards, and a fresh mechanic called 'Discover'.
In addition, League of Explorers will also introduce four new 'intrepid adventurers' namely, Elise Starseeker, Reno Jackson, Sir Finley Mrrgglton, and Brann Bronzebeard. There will also be 45 new cards to collect for Hearthstone gamers.
Blizzard revealed the four wings of new cards as "fiendish bosses, puzzling traps, and ancient mysteries for you to discover" and new legendary cards to collect will be included. Moreover, The League of Explorers features brand new class challenges, more game boards, and a new keyword, the Discover plus a pretty hard Heroic Mode.
As for the new expansion's release date, players can get their hands on the first wing of League of Explorers DLC as early as November 12 across PC and mobile devices and every week after that except on Thanksgiving week.. Game enthusiasts need to shell out $20 for all the League of Explorers content, or opt to pay each of the four wings for 700 gold or $7 each.
More news from BlizzCon 2015, International Business Times reports that only 8 players remained to vie for the Hearthstone World Championship and bag top prize of $100,000. Three of the top players from the Asia-Pacific region made it to the quarterfinals, the live stream of which started at noon PST (3 p.m. EST) with a preshow scheduled at 11:45 a.m. PST (2:45 p.m. EST).
The eight quarterfinalists include Kranich, Pinpingho and Kno from the Asia-Pacific region, Hotform from the Americas, Ostkaka and Thijs from Europe and China's DieMeng and Zoro. The following are the results for group stages:
Group A
- Thijs defeated NoTomorrow and Kno to advance.
- Kno defeated and eliminated JAB to advance.
Group B
- Zoro defeated Nias and Kranich to advance to the quarterfinals.
- Kranich defeated and eliminated Lifecoach to advance.
Group C
- Ostaka defeated LoveCX and Hotform to advance.
- Hotform defeated and eliminated Neilyo to advance.
Group D
- Diemeng defeated Neirea and Pinpingho to advance.
- Pinpingho defeated and eliminated Purple to advance.
