Android 6.0 Marshmallow Rolls Out to Moto X Pure Edition Soon

One of the lucky devices to first receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update is the Moto X Pure Edition. However, there is no official announcement yet from Motorola as to when will the update will exactly be released to the public.

According to IB Times, the rollout of the Android 6.0 Marshmallow firmware to the Moto X Pure Edition device will happen any time soon, taking into consideration the propinquity of Motorola with the search engine giant. Since Motorola collaborated with Google for its Nexus 6 smartphone, it will be one of the first to release the newest build to its handsets. Moreover, rumor has it that the release will take place this November, but nothing has been confirmed yet as of the moment.

Meanwhile, Motorola's Senior Director for Software Product Management, David Schuster, has confirmed through its Google+ account that the latest Android update will be available soon for some Motorola devices. He revealed that a test drive has begun for the Moto X Pure Edition. Nevertheless, he also clarified that it was not the formal soak test yet. Hence, if there won't be any issues regarding the soak test, the update will roll out to the device in the coming days.

Furthermore, the Moto X Pure Edition was just launched recently. It runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system right out of the box and will be updated to Android 6.0 Marshmallow firmware any time soon. The other Motorola devices expected to get the update, include the Moto X Style (3rd Gen), Moto X (2nd Gen), Moto X Pure Edition (3rd Gen), Moto X Play, Moto Maxx (2014), Moto Turbo (2014), Moto G (2 Gen), Nexus 6 (2014), Moto X Pure Edition (2nd Gen), and Moto G (3rd Gen).

Overall, the Moto X Pure Edition will be receiving the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update sooner or later. All that is left to do is to wait for the official announcement from the company.
