Google has just rolled out its latest Android operating system update to both Moto X Pure Edition (2015) and Nexus 6P. The Android 6.0 Marshmallow update has been recently unveiled to the public, but will be released officially sometime soon.
The Moto X Pure Edition (2015) has begun an initial test for the Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system, as per David Schuster, Motorola's Software Product Manager. This innovative smartphone was also launched just recently, which runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system out of the box. Apparently, it is said to be Motorola's greatest handset by far. Thus, it is good to know that it will be one of the devices to receive the latest Android update.
On the other hand, the Google Nexus 6P flagship smartphone has Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system pre-installed. However, the search engine company appears to release the factory images of the latest update. These factory images mentioned are builds MDB08K and MDA89D, but it is still uncertain if these are specific to some carrier-based units, such as T-Mobile and Project-Fi.
Furthermore, the two Android 6.0 Marshmallow builds are now available for download. Simply flash the Android 6.0 stock ROM manually. By flashing an official factory image, it will restore the user's smartphone to stock settings; thus, deleting all data saved on the handset. Nonetheless, it is still best if the users would wait for the over-the-air update.
On the whole, many smartphone companies are already gearing up for the latest Android update. The Android 6.0 Marshmallow update will definitely be available to other devices in the coming days, so it is best to just wait for a bit. This update may not come all at once, but hopefully other handsets get to receive this powerful operating system any time soon, just like the Moto X Pure Edition (2015) and the Nexus 6P.
