Meizu recently released a powerful smartphone, the Meizu Pro 5 and this handset is expected to have a mini version that will arrive in first half of 2016. The Meizu Pro 5 Mini is believed to sport a 4.7-inch display, Helio X20 chipset and other amazing specs.
According to International Business Times, the new compact device Meizu Pro 5 Mini has made its way to an e-retailer's Website pertaining to Europe.The dual-SIM based Meizu Pro 5 mini is predicted to be powered by a 64-bit Helio X20 MT6797 processor working hand-in-hand with 3GB of RAM. As a refresher, it's noted that its predecessor Pro 5 was housed Samsung Exynos 7420 octa-core processor (quad-core 2.1GHz Cortex-A57 + quad-core 1.5GHz Cortex-A53) accompanied with Mali T760 MP8 GPU. The Pro 5 was launched in two RAM variants - 3GB and 4GB.
This handset is reported to sport a pocket-friendly 4.7-inch AMOLED display, aided by a 1080p screen resolution. Although, it is a compact device, Meizu delivers a metallic body, giving the device a premium look.
Under the Meizu Pro 5 Mini's chassis, is a MediaTek Helio X20 chipset and the Android 5.1 Lollipop OS. But considering that the smartphone is a new device, Android 6.0 Marshmallow update should be expected very soon.
Furthermore, NDTV Gadgets added that the Pro 5 mini is expected to be packed with 32 GB of built-in storage and support for expandable storage via microSD card that is up to 128GB.
When it comes to the handset's camera, it is armed with a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 5-megapixel front snapper that is good for selfies and video chats purposes. This handset is powered by a 3, 050mAh capacity battery and has support for 4G LTE.
As for the Meizu Pro 5 Mini's price, Christian Post stated that this device will be available in 32 and 64 GB variants with the former costing 1,999 Yuan ($315) and the latter priced at 2,499 Yuan ($394).
None of these were confirmed by the Chinese company though, so enthusiastic smartphone enthusiasts still have to wait for further announcement about the handset's specs and release.
