A civilized world populated by animals is what Disney is featuring with the upcoming Zootopia. The mouse house has revealed the list of cast and characters for the flick, while Idris Elba described his character and experiences while voicing his character, Bogo.

Disney has recently revealed their roster of cast for the upcoming flick. According to Deadline, the cast includes notable names such as Shakira, JK Simmons, Octavia Spencer, Bonnie Hunt, Tommy Chong, Alan Tudyk, Jenny Slate, Nate Torrence, Don Lake, Tommy Lister, Raymond Persi, Katie Lowes, Jessie Corti, and John Dimaggio.

Zootopia is headed by its mighty Mayor Leodore Lionheart voiced by Simmons who runs the place with his Assistant Mayor Bellwhether who is voiced by Slate. As reported by Screen Rant, the animated movie centers on a new cop, Judy Hopps who being a rabbit in a squad of tough animal cops will strive to prove herself and even pair with a fox scam artist, Nick Wilde.

Together, the pair will try to solve a case in which they will encounter various animals, trustworthy and not, within their 48 hour deadline. Judy and Nick are voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin and Jason Bateman respectively.

Moreover, as reported by USA Today, Idris Elba who plays as the mighty buffalo head of Zootopia's Police Department, Bogo. Elba revealed that he had poured himself to the character while doing the film, even acting out some parts while recording.

"I like to turn the lights down, take my shoes off and get into the character. I really go for it in the room, with movement. I act out the part", Elba said. "It's a very animated performance", he added. But even so, he kept his immersion on the character on the right level.

"My thing was all about keeping his stoic nature. Chief Bogo has got these big horns, and he looks people right in the eyes. And I was trying to get that color in the voice. But it wasn't like I was head-butting the microphone or anything", he said. Director Byron Howard also said that Elba's humor has also been contributed to the character, which is why Bogo will have his funny side in the film as well.

Disney's Zootopia is directed by Byron Howard and Rich Moore along with co-director Jared Bush. It is written by Bush with Phil Johnston. It is set to hit theaters on March 04, 2016.
