Ubisoft's latest Far Cry installment, Far Cry Primal, presents a rather different set up from its predecessors as it is set in a Stone Age which brings a player back to the basics. Often regarded as the game which would redeem Ubisoft's open world gaming, anticipation arises as positive comments and hopes about the game appear then and there.
While Ubisoft shared its financial results from the last quarter, it can be inferred that Far Cry Primal is still far from release. However, CEO Yves Guillemot expresses his contentment on how things have gone so far concerning Far Cry Primal. Ever since they have released the announcement trailer, the video have been watched 16 million times in its first ten days which made it Ubisoft's second most popular trailer. With an overwhelmingly positive response, the company says they project Primal's sales to be 60% greater than that of Far Cry 4, Segment Next reports.
Even iDigital Times commented that the game is going to be awesome, but suggested that it may be needing to borrow some idea from the Nemesis system of the Shadows of Mordor. Such system presents a dynamic method of interacting with Sauron's Orc Army in the game. It means that one can interfere with lieutenants fighting with each other, and the unique progression of strength exhibited by the system wherein Orcs grow stronger as the player is being defeated. Having the thought of the enemy growing stronger every time a player fails triggers the need for revenge to redeem one's self. This scheme makes facing the boss enemy to feel more personal. The site opines that applying such system to Primal, wherein enemy tribesmen grows stronger as the player is defeated would be an awesome feature to Far Cry Primal.
Being referred to by Latinos Post as the most interesting entry for the Far Cry installment, Far Cry Primal may have to present the most unique take in the series. According to Jean-Christophe Guyot, the game's Creative Director, the game is unique as it is set in the Stone Age, the very first frontline of humankind. Such setting is a perfect one for the game as a player is put "at the edge of the known world, in a beautiful, lawless and savage frontier."
