‘Tom Clancy’s The Division’ Updates: Go Rogue in Ubisoft’s New Open World Multiplayer RPG Which Comes in Three Editions

By

Tom Clancy's The Division is an open world multiplayer RPG which will bring a player in an epidemic United States setting while battling against enemy factions. A unique feature of the game is going 'Rogue'.

Compensating its delayed release next year is Senior Game Designer Matthieu Delisle's unveiling of a new game feature called Rogue. By going Rogue, a player will be able to kill a lot of players. The duration of the Rogue mode depends on the amount of players killed. However, the new Rogue feature is a high-risk-high-reward scheme since other players are also looking for a kill. Crossmap reports that the number of players allowed to go Rogue at the same time is yet to be discussed by the developers.

Using the Snowdrop engine, the open world multiplayer RPG is set in a world devastated by a deadly pathogen. The player would experience fighting enemy factions, looting abandoned buildings, and leveling up as one explores a ravaged New York City. According to Movie Pilot, the player is part of The Division, a team organized to perform some directives. The gamestory is set on 2007 when George W. Bush signed Directive 51, launching The Division's agents to effect. When Sleeper Cell agents released weaponized virus, The Division tried to stop the epidemic but failed; that day was known as Black Friday. Now, a player is set on a mission to save what remains of the ravaged city.

Pre-ordering the game guarantees a player beta access plus a Hazmat Gear Set DLC pack. The in-game content includes a POE P416 Assault Rifle, a Hazmat Go-Gas with increased health, and a Hazmat outfit. According to Vine Report, the game comes in three editions: including Standard, Gold, and Sleeper Agent. The latter comes with a Season Pass; a full year of expansions and exclusive benefits, an exclusive agent's watch, and other goodies.

Go Rogue and fight for what remains in New York City in Ubisoft's and Massive Entertainment's The Division. The game shall be released on March 8, 2016 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC at 60 USD.
