The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist Premieres June Next Year: Warner Bros Sued by Rhode Island Farmhouse Owners

Another case, another family, another round of hair-raising horror is bound to be delivered by The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist. Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson is officially back to reprise their roles. Meanwhile, a case by the owners of the Rhode Island farmhouse which was the setting of the case in the first film against Warner Bros for threats of violence caused by the film's fans.

Production for The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist is unde rway in United Kingdom and aside from director James Wan, Farmiga and Wilson also returned as the notable demonologists Lorraine and Ed Warren, for the sequel. According to Movie Pilot, the sequel will center on a case investigated by the Warrens in 1970s in Enfield, England.

As reported by Comingsoon.net, a priest blessed the set of by The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist when they began filming in September as what was evident in the photo posted by New Line Cinema. Wan has also been keeping the franchise's fans updated by posting photos from the set in his social media accounts of the cast, crew, and the technology used in the film.

Filming seems to be going by smoothly as Wan recently posted a photo of a dog in the set who he described as their new cast member. He also previously shared photos of his camera and equiment for his shots, and a photo with the crew as they dressed up for Halloween.

Meanwhile, Norma Sutcliffe and Gerald Helfrich, the present owners of the Rhode Island farm house which was the setting of the first film has filed a case against Warner Bros for the trespassing of the franchise's fans in their property.

According to a report by The Guardian, Sutcliffe and Helfrich said that they have been subject to "threats of physical violence and harm, sleepless nights, and worry that one day, one of the many trespassers will commit an act of destruction, violence, or harm", as stated by their court documents.

Sutcliffe and Helfrich stated that while they did not experience any supernatural incidents in their property, they have been tormented by curiosity seekers and trespassers who, day and night, barged into their property. They are reportedly seeking damages from Warner Bros, New Line, Director Wan, and others for creating a film without having them notified.

2013's The Conjuring was a box office success earning $318 million internationally from their $20 million production budget, according to Box Office Mojo. The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist is written by Carey Hayes, Chad Hayes, James Wan, and rewritten by David Johnson. It is currently slated to hit theaters on June 10, 2016.
