The seventh episode of "Madam Secretary" entitled "You Say You Want a Revolution" will reveal a daunting task for Elizabeth McCord (Tea Leoni) as she asks support from the Senate to lift the Cuban trade embargo. Meanwhile, a police murder case will be re-opened after forty years.
The previous episode not only showed Elizabeth as a strong woman who can take all the challenge thrown to her but also a woman who gives importance to family. After an ISIS soldier killed an aid worker in Syria, Elizabeth immediately ordered for an evacuation of all aid workers including her brother Will Adams (Eric Stoltz).
The synopsis posted on TV for the next episode says that Elizabeth has President Conrad Dalton's (Keith Carradine) support when attempting to make history by lifting the Cuban trade embargo. However, she faces a challenge in winning the Senate's support.
According to Carter Matt, the upcoming episode is going to be taking on a subject that is particularly relevant in 2015 in Cuba, and that fans are going to get a chance to see Elizabeth do everything that she can in an effort to ensure that the Senate supports her in making trade to the country easier.
Meanwhile, father-daughter tandem Henry McCord (Tim Daly) and Alison McCord (Katherine Herzer) bond while touring Havana together.
In another story, a case involving a black woman allegedly killing a white police officer 40 years ago will be re-opened following a request by the wife.
In the promo video posted on Spoilers Guide, Elizabeth is seen telling a black woman to come back with her to serve her sentence. The woman, on the other hand, tells Elizabeth that the cop shoot her friends and that she did not kill the cop.
A flashback scene also shows a policeman approaching the car with three black women inside. The woman on the front seat pulled out a gun and the police went down after a gunshot.
"Madam Secretary" airs every Sunday night at 8pm on CBS.
