The second-half of "Pretty Little Liars" Season 6 has many unanswered questions since the girls, except for Alison, left for college and flash-forwards to five years. A new trailer has been released providing more insight to the new storyline. Meanwhile, a new villain will be tormenting the liars this coming January and it's going to be the deadliest season ever.
"They left Rosewood... It never left them," the new PLL trailer ominously begins as bits and pieces of the liars' new lives flash on screen. Viewers will see a lot of changes as the girls return to Rosewood after going their separate ways to live in different cities and live new lives.
In the teaser, DesignnTrend reports that it shows Aria (Lucy Hale), Emily (Shay Mitchell), Hanna (Ashley Benson) and Spencer (Troian Bellisario) together again in Rosewood. Hanna says, "Five A-free years" followed by one of them saying "We won" and then a question, "Is that the truth?" There's also a scene where Mona (Janel Parrish) asks Spencer if she still gets nightmares about "A". Mona admits that she has the same dreams. Eventually, the liars realize that they are still being haunted by the past. "It's happening again, isn't it," one of the girls says as the teaser takes a twisted turn from the seemingly happy reunion in the first few seconds. A scene also shows Ezra (Ian Harding) shouting at the girls, "Get out! Now!" Followed by a scene where Emily is wearing a hospital gown, shouting in distress as she is being held down by someone wearing gloves.
In other news, a new "hardcore" villain is set to be introduced in the coming instalment and this new baddie is said to be "the real devil in disguise" (Move aside, A!). In an interview by MTV News with PLL star, Sasha Pieterse, she warns that this season is going to be "deadly". She continues, "Charlotte ("A") was much more about playing the game. That's what kept her going. That's what fed her damaged soul. But this is a whole new animal. This new villain has a whole new motive - and it's really deadly. It's like. 'Do this, or I'll kill you.' Charlotte and her games look like child's play in comparison."
