Following the success of its recently released film, the Attack on Titan shall have another step further as its creators announce that an Attack on Titan is on development and is nearing its release. A new trailer even provided sneak peeks on what to expect from the video game, including the gamestory, characters, weapons, game modes, and other game features.

Fresh new details were reported by Vine Report through the new screenshots released by developer KOEI Tecmo about the upcoming game and the special edition game packages. The screenshot showed a ferocious Colossal Titan getting ready to bring down a Wall and a chapter in Eren's story which includes the early days of his training. The screenshot also depicted Eren equipped with 3D Maneuver Gear, ready to take down Titans. The weapon is reported to work just like how it did in the anime and movie. Furthermore, the game also included other new weapons which are yet to debut in the anime.

KOEI Tecmo President Hisashi Koinuma reveals that he was enchanted by opportunity to work on an Attack of Titan game after the title evolved from a manga and anime to an internationally recognized brand, according to Gamespot. Further report reveals that the game story is based on the first season of the Attack on Titan anime series, and the trailer hinted it to follow the Dynasty Warriors template. Players get to guide the members of the Survey Corps and prepare them to fight the Titans. Using their 3D Maneuver Gear, they would be able to soar through the air and attack weak points on Titans to inflict severe damage.

An array of characters in the Trainee Corps, in the Garrison and Titans are listed in Gematsu's page. It is also said that players would enjoy battling against a wide variation of Titans who has each own personality as battle situations tend to be wide ranging. The 3D Maneuver Gear also gets dull and has its gas depleted as one fights, adding a wear-and-tear realism to the game. With it, the developers incorporated a weapon parts exchange feature. Another interesting attribute of the game is its Everyday Part, wherein a player gets to stay in the camp on a free day, enjoying conversations, strolling the barracks and through the town freely. There is also a Training Grounds feature wherein a player experiences a game tutorial under Commander Keith Shadis of the 104th Trainees Squad.

KOEI Tecmo's Attack on Titan game shall hit the PS3, PS4, and PS Vita consoles in Japan before 2015 ends. A Western release will follow by 2016.
