'Batman' Solo Movie Spoilers: Film To Follow Red Hood Plot? The Joker's Role In DC Cinematic Universe Predicted

By

Jason Todd a.ka. Red Hood may very well be the villain for the upcoming "Batman" solo movie. A lot of elements in the "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" trailer is pointing out the death of Batman's sidekick and it seems the Joker has a lot to do with it. With a lot of buildup from the "Suicide Squad" movie, an interesting expected twist is the real role the Joker is about to play in the events that are about to unfold in the DC Cinematic Universe.

Design&Trend reports there are rumors that the next standalone "Batman" movie is going to be based on one of darker stories in the Batman story arc, "Under the Red Hood."

"Under the Red Hood" revolves around the villain that Jason Todd has become after being resurrected. He was killed in the comic book "A Death in the Family".

Todd was noted to be the second Robin who came after Dick Grayson when he went on to become Night Wing. The resurrected Jason who assumed the identity Red Hood blames Batman for his death primarily because the Caped Crusader has a non-lethal force policy.

In Todd's perspective, had the Batman killed the Joker, the hundreds of victims of the Clown Prince, should still be alive. In this storyline, Red Hood uses the skills Bruce Wayne taught him to frame the Batman by committing crimes in Gotham.

"Under the Red Hood" may also conform well to the DC Cinematic Universe. With the introduction of meta-humans like Superman and Wonder Woman, it would seem senseless to let the Bat face off with meta-human villains in a standalone movie.

According to an article by Independent, the "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" trailer sparked beliefs about Red Hood to be plausible because of two elements - the scene where Bruce was staring at the Robin suit spray-painted with "HAHAHA joke's on you BATMAN" and the scene where he had a newspaper clipping on his hand saying "You let your family die". The suit may suggest the Joker indeed killed Robin and the newspaper clipping was a vandalized note from the Joker.

If the speculations turn out to be true, then "Batman v Superman" may not just be a prequel to the Justice League, but to the Batman solo movie as well.

These rumors say a lot about the possible role that the Joker is going to play behind the curtains. It is possible that the Clown Prince of Crime may indeed be pulling the strings from behind starting with the "Suicide Squad" movie.

Charles Roven already said in a previous interview that both the "Suicide Squad" and "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" would introduce the DC Cinematic Universe. If that is the case, could it be that the "Suicide Squad" movie is actually introducing the Joker and how he makes a fool out of everyone as he orchestrates the mishaps that would happen in the upcoming DC films, most especially on the "Batman" solo movie?

Without any announcements yet for the release date of the "Batman" standalone film, fans are left to guess and look around for possible clues from upcoming DC movies and trailers. One thing is for sure, when the Joker gets down, everyone looses their minds.
