'Now You See Me: The Second Act' will feature the return of Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg and Mark Ruffalo. Director Jon M. Chu revealed that the sequel will be different from the first. Lionsgate is currently developing a third film in the caper thriller series.

In an interview with Collider, director Jon M. Chu revealed that the follow-up film to the 2013 thriller will be different from the original in a way that it will focus more on the Four Horsemen. He said, "You get to be with the Horsemen a lot more. In the other movie, their presentation was for the audience, so you didn't get to see what they were doing behind the scenes. For this one, you're with them." He added that he wanted to highlight "real physical magic" and wouldn't use too much special effects.

The sequel, currently in post-production, was filmed back-to-back with Chu's other upcoming film. He is also directing the live-action adaptation of the hit animated television series from the '80s 'Jem and the Holograms'. According to Comicbook.com, Chu described the set of 'Now You See Me: The Second Act' as "a blast" with real life magicians, dancers and tons of glitter.

It seems that there is no stopping Lionsgate as it was revealed that a third film in the caper thriller series is already in the works. According to Variety, development for 'Now You See Me 3' has already begun. No further details have been reported.

The second film will take place three years after the original and will feature the return of Mark Ruffalo, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco, Jesse Eisenberg, Morgan Freeman and Michael Caine in their respective roles. Lizzy Caplan has joined the cast as a replacement for Isla Fisher. Daniel Radcliffe has also signed on to play Caine's on-screen son Walter Tressler.

'Now You See Me: The Second Act' is an upcoming action-comedy thriller scheduled for a theatrical debut on June 10, 2016. It is a sequel to the 2013 release directed by Louis Leterrier. The first film received mixed reviews from critics but nevertheless enjoyed considerable success at the box office earning $351 million against a $75 million budget.
