Tuesday’s episode of "Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD" presented a revelation for Rosalind Price (Constance Zimmer) and her true allegiances with another secret organization. In other developments, series star Brett Dalton offered his character’s vision for rebuilding Hydra. Also, a "Hawaii Five-0" actor has boarded the current season of the ABC drama.
The Nov. 10th episode of "Agents of SHIELD" gave viewers the answer to the burning question of: “On which side of the card is Rosalind Price working for?”. Turns out, Coulson’s new girlfriend is working with Hydra baddie, Gideon Malick. To this end, more questions are waiting to get answers.
Now that Price and the ATCU have been confirmed to have ties with Malick, it’s safe to speculate that the Inhumans that both parties are collecting are in grave danger.
“We don’t exactly know what they have planned, but we’ll get into it soon enough,” showrunner Jed Whedon commented via Entertainment Weekly on the show’s latest development. He also said that both Price and Malick “have really great plans for them” in the future. But that’s just seemed too far-fetched at this point. Viewers will have to tune-in next week to see how this will impact the rest of the season.
Co-showrunner Maurissa Tancharoen also echoed her thoughts about this new arc, hinting that the Inhumans are probably being collected by an “institution working under Hydra”. She also warned that if she’s right, it will be a “formula for disaster”.
On a related issue, series star Brett Dalton who portrays Ward on the series, previewed his character’s mental state in rebuilding Hydra 2.0.
“This is a stripped-down version of Hydra. This is like Hydra-reduction,” the actor told Comic Book Resouces when asked on how this version differ from the past regime.
He also maintained that this is Hydra without all of the “fat, fanfare and fancy cars” – promising that this time, Ward’s primary motivation is to get the job done.
In other developments, the ABC drama has tapped "Hawaii Five-0" actor Mark Dacascos to recur on its current third season. Per Deadline, he will play Giyera, the head of security for S.H.I.E.L.D.
"Agents of SHIELD" season 3 is morphing to become one this season’s most exciting shows to follow. With this latest reveal on Rosalind Price, it’s going to be one hell of a ride for the viewers yet again as they tune in on next week’s episode.
