Uncharted creator Naughty Dog has confirmed that a single player DLC will be available for their new Uncharted installment Uncharted 4: A Thief's end. A beta version of the online game is slated to be tested in early December.
Naughty Dog's attention at this point is solely on getting the game finished before starting on the DLC. GameSpot recently spoke to Uncharted series developer Naughty Dog as represented by their Director of Communications Arne Meyer for an update on the announced single-player DLC for Uncharted 4: A Thief's End. Meyer informed the gaming publication that positive response from fans pushed the developers to do another single player DLC for the series. The story for the single-player DLC, however, has yet to be mapped out.
This year's Paris Games Week highlights the Uncharted series 5v5 multiplayer mode, according to The Guardian. The in-depth analysis and review points to a few key elements that were not previously featured in other Uncharted series, such as the use of ancient relics, the ones that were rescued from the other Uncharted games. Elements of the game's multiplayer mode are similar to other multiplayer games, but the relics and other smartly developed movement mechanics like climbing and swinging make for great fun and tactical advantage. A beta version of the game's online multiplayer mode will be made available in December.
The developers have admitted that the task to complete Uncharted 4: A Thief's End is a definite challenge, one that needs to adhere to a certain level of quality with a definitely engaging story in order to give justice to the Uncharted series' final chapter. Nolan North, the game's performance capture actor, was noted in saying via GamesRadar that the fourth installment was definitely a satisfying conclusion. He's noted in saying that developer Naughty Dog definitely gave justice to the fourth installment, saying Naughty Dog had always executed their part well. The actor was hoping his part in the project is enough.
The PS4 exclusive game Uncharted 4: A Thief's End is slated to be released on the 18th of March, 2016.
