Next Sunday’s episode of "The Good Wife" will put Diane Lockhart (Christine Baranski) on the spotlight. Titled “Restraint”, the same hour will also mark the reappearance of Peter Gallagher as Attorney Ethan Carver.
The Good Wife’s current seventh season has not been the strongest of the legal drama in terms of characters’ personal storylines and the week-to-week cases being handled by Alicia. This coming week’s episode gives a little bit of hope for the show, as it will delve heavily on Diane’s orbit as she argues for a case where her beliefs will be tested.
On “Restraint”, viewers will find the formidable lawyer “personally conflicted” when she finds herself arguing on a complicated case involving pro-choice and pro-life advocates. Diane’s job gets even more difficult when she learns that she must win in order to retain an important client. The Futon Critic has shared the episode synopsis.
The storyline will allow for the return of Peter Gallagher, who plays witty and sophisticated attorney Ethan Carver. His reappearance on The Good Wife should make for some interesting sequences as he will be keeping an eye out for Diane. The synopsis revealed that the latter’s “important client” is represented by Carver.
The gallery for the Nov. 29th installment has also been released in Spoilers Guide, and it looks like Cary Agos (Matt Czuchry) will be helping out Diane in arguing their case. “Abortion is not a form of birth control” said the postcard of another image in the gallery – a strong statement that the legal drama will catapult another politically-driven arc.
As for the promo released by CBS via Youtube, it seems that sparks will fly between Eli Gold and guest star Vanessa Williams. The brief clip hints that Peter’s ex-campaign advisor might hit it off romantically with Williams’ Courtney Paige.
Next Sunday’s episode of "The Good Wife titled" “Restraint” will find Diane arguing on a case involving pro-choice and pro-life advocates. The episode will also mark the return of Covert Affairs alum, Peter Gallagher.
