The big screen outing of two of DC's greatest superheroes are set in the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. A new concept art was revealed for Batman while designs for the merchandise items have also been made available.
Much anticipation has been circling around the project as it assure to feature the first big screen clash of two notable superhero characters. While the trailer have earned largely positive reception, as reported by We Got This Covered, a new concept art of the Caped Crusader was revealed recently.
The image of the character was perceivably darker, and could have reportedly drawn inspiration from Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns. Jerad S. Marantz expressed his enthusiasm about designing for the character in his blog post. "Finally get to show these! Here are some of the images that I painted for Batman versus Superman.", Marantz said.
" I was fortunate enough to spend a bit of time on all of the characters, but was lucky enough to be able to focus on Illustrating the new Batman costume with the incredible costume designer Michael Wilkinson. This was a childhood dream come true.", Marantz added.
Meanwhile, as reported by Heroic Hollywood, t-shirt designs for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice were also recently revealed. The t-shirts will be available in black, white, red, and grey. Some designs refer to Superman as "The Last Son of Krypton", "False God", while Batman is dubbed as "The Gotham Guardian" and the other shirt wrote "Demon". The shirst are now available for preorder in Merchoid.
Aside from the shirts, toys for the film are also out. Toys for Superman and Batman are available, which are some of the earliest among others toys that are expected to be released as well. While Superman donned his Blue suit with red cape, Batman wore a mech suit, which according to Comic Book Movie could be a hint for a possible suit change in the film.
Speculations suggest that the new suit could Batman's back up piece after his original suit gets damaged with his fight against Superman. An even greater evil is also expected to come along which will unite him with Superman, and Wonder Woman, thus, a mech suit is also suitable.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is directed by Zack Snyder and stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, Amy Adams, and Jesse Eisenberg among many others. It is expected to hit theaters oin March 25, 2016.
