Microsoft delivered a rather significant operating system update to Windows 10, and the upgrade comes with a number of fixes and new feature enhancements for Insiders.
One of the optimizations that is noteworthy from 'Threshold 2', which Windows users are dubbing the fall update as, is the improvement made on the Edge browser. The update to Windows' new in-house internet browser includes a sync function for Favorites in older versions and a preview of what's going on in different tabs, says Gotta Be Mobile.
Cortana also sees a lot of improvements with the Windows 10 November update. Cortana becomes a whole lot smarter with the latest update, it has now the capacity to recognise handwriting through a user stylus. According to Vine Report, Cortana can then translate it into digital notes. To add to that, Cortana can now alert users on desktop and gives the option to reply to the missed calls using Windows Mobile and compose text messages to be sent out via a Windows phone too.
Furthermore, some visual improvements are also made to Windows 10. Arse Technica stated that the Start Menu got a much needed facelift and is now embedded with a more informative context menus for resizing tiles.
The update brings more personalization capabilities to programs. Now users can choose a theme that will add color to the white Titlebars of the apps. Also, users can choose whether they would like to see more or less Live Tiles on the Start Screen or Start Menu.
Though many of the updates to Windows 10 from Threshold 2 are fixes and enhancements, and Microsoft added nothing new per se, users will find this as vital since the Windows 10 still continues to be plagued with bugs. The new update itself comes with a few new bugs. However, Windows 10 does promise to keep fixing these bugs and will address it until they are minimised or eradicated completely.
