The Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 which is the alleged successor of last year's Mi pad has been recently certified in China. It is said that this new device from the Chinese manufacturer will be unveiled on December 3 along with the Xiaomi Mi5.

According to International Business Times, the Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 could possibly be powered by Intel Atom X5-Z58500 which has the power to achieve a maximum processing speed of 2.24 GHz of its quad-core CPU. It will also come packed with a 2 GB of RAM and will work on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS. This device has also been reported of possibly featuring both Windows and Android operating systems.

As for the storage department, the alleged Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 will be built with a 16GB of internal storage and it's uncertain if this can be extended upwards or not. This new tablet is being projected to support Connectivity features including, Bluetooth, WI-Fi 802.11 and GPS, BGR wrote.

Based from the benchmark test, the new tablet Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 is taking its power from a quad-core Intel Atom x5-Z8500 processor that is clocked at 2.24 GHz which helped the device to acquire a score of 985 points (single-core) and 3268 points (multi-core), reports Christian Today.

Moreover, when the Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 was first passed in 3C Certification, it was suggested that it will run on Windows 10 since Xiaomi, during that time, was testing the Microsoft-made software for some of its devices. Nevertheless, with Lollipop on board, it appears that it will retain using Android OS for this new tablet.

Other information on the Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 that was certified in September is that it will come in 7.9-inch display. This new tablet from Xiaomi is projected to be built by a metallic casing together with glass on its back panel.

Thus far, the company hasn't provided any official information with regard to the release details of this alleged Xiaomi Mi Pad 2. However, numerous reports are hinting that it will finally launch in December 3 together with the latest flagship Xiaomi Mi5.
