A special and the last Nintendo Direct broadcast intended for Super Smash Bros.4 on Nintendo 3DS and Wii U is confirmed by the publisher to take place next month. It is not revealed as what the announcement is about but it is believed that it has to do with the ballot results which the fans have been waiting since the last casting of votes in early October.
According to Go Nintendo, this news emerged courtesy of a Nintendo of Europe report which wasn't given that much attention during last week' when Nintendo Direct returned since the demise of the beloved president Satoru Iwata in July who had been hosting the series.
This announcement, however, shoould be misinterpreted as the final Super Smash Bros. 4 programming from Nintendo or the game's DLC. It only means that that broadcasts dedicated to game are coming to an end.The game aficionados can clearly recall that the previous Nintendo Direct for the popular brawler was back in pre-E3 event in June where new DLC characters Lucas, Ryu, and Roy were declared to join the game's roster.
The last one next month is pegged to discuss the offiicial online ballot results which was opened in April for the new third party DLC character or characters that the fans wish to see in the game.
Via Nintendo Direct last week, Cloud Strife of Final Fantasy 7 was confirmed to be the next playable DLC character for Smash Bros. 4, although, it wasn't made clear whether it was drawn from fans' ballots or not. The new challenger Cloud Strife is known as the iconic game hero from Square Enix's classic RPG Final Fantasy 7 and will be a playable fighter in Super Smash Bros.4 Wii U and Nintendo 3DS soon, reports Polygon .
