'Quantico' Spoilers, Update: Showrunner Josh Safran Talks Alex Huge Decision; Desperate Housewives Alum Marcia Cross Nabs Recurring Role

By

Showrunner and creator Josh Safran talked about Alex’s decision to turn herself in during last Sunday’s episode of Quantico. Meanwhile, the freshman hit has added Desperate Housewives alum Marcia Cross to guest star in a recurring basis later this season.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Quantico boss Josh Safran hashed out Agent Parrish’s major move to finally gave herself up to the FBI on Sunday’s episode titled “Over”.

Viewers have known Alex as one of the most brilliant NATs on the show, but to turn herself in definitely begs more questions. Did she do this because it was part of her plan or was it simply because she’s becoming more and more desperate to clear her name?

According to Safran, it’s both. Alex has a plan and the events which occurred entailed “desperate times calling for desperate measures,” he explained.

What’s going on in Alex’s mind right now is that “the only way to actually get people to pay attention to what she has now determined is a potential second bomb in New York is to turn herself in”.

Her main strategy is to “go from the inside out instead of the outside in,” he added.

In the next episode, viewers will see Alex being interrogated by an elite FBI team. As seen in the promo released by ABC through Youtube, it’s palpable that the storyline will not go well for the suspected agent.

The Nov. 29th installment titled “Guilty” will also mark a terrifying episode for Ryan, as his life will be in major jeopardy.

In other Quantico news, Deadline reported that Marcia Cross has landed a recurring role on the ABC smash. The Desperate Housewives star will portray Claire, the mother of Caleb and wife of Director Clayton Haas.

Cross’ Claire is described as “the ruling force of the Haas clan who has transitioned from decorated FBI agent to high-ranking senator and now Vice Presidential candidate.”
