The tech giant Google has started rolling out improvements to its Google Drive app for iOS and Android Updates. Some of the features included are File Previews, Notifications Sharing and more.
News Factor reports that Google is constantly observing for gaps in Microsoft's armor and the company recognized that they discovered one in terms of the document creation, storage as well as sharing front. Moreover, in order to persuade users from Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft One Drive to Google Docs and Google Drive the company will add new features.
A report from Tech Times has stated that that the addition of sharing, notifications for both Android and iOS apps is the most astonishing of these features. The recipient will receive a notification on mobile informing them of the new file or folder every time users are sharing a file or folder with other people. By tapping on the notification, the users will be led to the newly shared content that will be more convenient for users instead of digging via their email for the link to the folder or shared file.
Furthermore, the Google Drive App for iOS and Android Updates will also deliver the ability to preview files without a Google Account on Android. However, it is said that it's yet uncertain whether this system will also work on iOS in the future. As of now, the Android devices are only the ones who are able to enjoy the previewing feature with this latest update, Slash Gear noted.
