The Big Bang Theory is about to break channels of social media. The hit CBS comedy will finally grant Shamy shippers a storyline wherein the ex-couple will up their relationship into a sexual level.
The Big Bang co-showrunner Steve Molaro has confirmed in a report from CBS that viewers may now look forward to an episode where Sheldon and Amy will finally get extra-romantic later this season.
"After over five years of dating, we felt the time was right for Sheldon and Amy to finally consummate their relationship,” the executive producer said.
He shared that the rest of The Big Bang team are definitely excited for the followers of the show to watch the journey in the coming weeks.
According to the report, the “coitus” will happen on Thursday, Dec. 17th.
This news definitely comes as a shocking one since the fan favorite couple haa already move forward past their breakup. In recent weeks, we saw them explore the dating world that allowed for the introduction of their prospected romantic interests. Interestingly, that angle has been short-lived in light of this latest development.
Entertainment Weekly reports that Sheldon and Amy’s relationship status remains unclear, atleast for now. The producers didn't give their comment as to whether the couple has already reconciled before viewers see them having sex.
As to what happens this week, The Big Bang Theory fans will find Shamy spending Thanksgiving as friends at the aquarium. Titled “The Platonic Permutation”, it remains to be seen as to whether this episode might reignite the sparks between the two. Could this arc lead to their “coitus” moment?
