343 Industries has recently revealed some updates on its first person shooter, Halo 5's first DLC, Battle of Shadow and Light. Reportedly the first of the many DLCs planned for the title, Battle of Shadow and Light features a Big Team Battle and four new maps, among others. It also includes 48 REQs.
After the launching of Halo 5 on October 27 exclusively for Xbox One, 343 Industries will be releasing its first free expansion pack, Battle of Shadow and Light. The developers boasts its Big Team Battle and four new maps among others. Christian Post reports that the Big Team Battle may be the biggest feature of the DLC as it allows a team to have eight players. In addition, four new Big Team Battle Maps named Basin, Deadlock, Guillotine, and Recurve, shall also be released.
For those who wish to be familiarized with the weaponry and armory, the developers included a chart which details the common, uncommon, rare, ultra rare, and legendary items in the game. 48 REQs shall be available which basically include weapon skins, armors, helmets, and vehicle skins, according to Yibada. In addition, the Big Team Battle shall also include a Motion Tracker which is similar to that in Warzone, with a match length pinned to 16 minutes. The three game types will have each own task to obtain wins as well. The BT BCTF requires 3 captures; the BTB Strongholds requires 150 points; while the BTB Slayer requires 100 points.
In addition, Express reports that the DLC also included a major fix on the gameplay's aiming capabilities. It can be seen that there is an increase in new speed and precision needed to land a shot. On another news, the developers are also preparing for the upcoming Halo World Championship which is the biggest Halo esports competition. The crowd-funded prize pool kicks off at December 14. The original 1 million USD prize had been boosted by the game's microtransactions to 1.7 million and is reported to be continuing to grow.
