‘Bloodborne’ The Old Hunters Expansion Pack Features Free Patch Including New Weapons, Bosses, and Areas; to be Released Really Soon

Developer From Software and publisher Sony Computer Entertainment has confirmed a new expansion for Bloodborne, which is The Old Hunters expansion pack. The update shall include new weapons, bosses, and areas among others.

Announced to be released on November 24, it is reported that a free patch comes ahead of the expansion pack. VG 24/7 reports that The League patch is now available for preload for 20 USD. Furthermore, the game would have a 9 GB update in anticipation of The Old Hunters Expansion Pack.

The expansion shall include a patch entitled The League which is a "covenant type pact" which allows gamers to join and call for help and reinforcements from other players. Furthermore, Christian Post reported that additional co-op NPC hunters must be expected from the update, aside from its new weapons, bosses, and areas. The new weapons include Simon's Bowblade and Blood Letter. Another addition is the new rune, The Ghost's Embrace, which enables a player to transform to a ghastly form while wielding a beast weapon. In this update, hunters must solve the mystery behind Yarnam's mysterious past. As the game's synopsis goes: "Journey to a world where hunters from the past are trapped forever, find multiple new outfits and weapons to add to your hunter arsenal, and explore brand new stages full of dangers, rewards, and deadly beasts to hunt."

However, IGN reports that it is not going to be easy for players to gain access on The Old Hunters expansion. The site explains that one should first be able to defeat Vicer Amelia, the Boss of Cathedral Ward and examine the altar to change the game to a night time setting. Then one should be able to go to the Hunter's Dream and receive the Eye of a Blood-Drunk Hunter from a messenger. Then go to the Oedon Chapel and leave the area through the left exit and enter the square and go to the right-hand part of the area and trigger an event. Such event shall take the player to the Hunter's Nightmare area. However, Vicer Amelia is a tough boss whom players would not want to fight again in her tougher mode to access the DLC.

Nevertheless, such is the way to access the expansion pack. Bloodborne fans can access The Old Hunters expansion pack starting on November 24, while the free to download The League patch is now available for preload.
