Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ is ready for the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update next month, a new leaked photo revealed. With Samsung's declaration in October that the new build will be rolling out to the device in the fourth quarter of 2015, the new leaked photo from a British site affirmed that the official over-the-air (OTA) release will be in December.
Samsung is expected to kick off the official OTA release of the Android 6.0 Marshmallow Galaxy to S6 Edge+ device in December, since the biggest and most refined Android build in history has been up and approved. The leaked photo showed that eligible Galaxy S6 Edge+ has model number SM-G928G.
The leaked photo shows a Samsung logo on top. Underneath is the date October 29, 2015, while across it is the watermark TimesNes.co.uk. The photo has two tables in it showing the Android 6.0 Update Guide Phase 1 and Android 6.0 Update Guide Phase 2.
Over a week ago, a photo was leaked with the same information, except the release date for Galaxy S6 Edge+ should come in January. In October, the device was already reported to come in December. However, reports warned to take the news as "exaggerated" since Samsung has not closed any related statement yet.
Tech site, Android Community, has recently reported that the Galaxy S6 Edge+ along with the Galaxy Note 5 will be the first Samsung devices to get Marshmallow sweet treats. These devices are the high-end flagship devices of the tech giant for 2015, released back in September.
Aside from these models, in the waiting list for Marshmallow approval are the Galaxy Note 4, the Galaxy Note Edge, the Galaxy S5 and the Galaxy ALPHA. Other devices waiting include the Galaxy Tab S2, Galaxy A8, Galaxy A7, Galaxy A5, Galaxy A3, Galaxy E7 and Galaxy E5, among others.
Android 6.0 Marshmallow will bring in improvements in app permissions, app drawer, user interface, app links, Google Now, Android Pay and so many more.
