Heroes Reborn will be on a two-month hiatus as the final three episodes will air on 2016. Meanwhile, Masi Oka talks about Hiro Nakamura's fate while the new Heroes Reborn tie-in e-book will feature Claire Bennet's life after Heroes.
In a post from Comicbook, the synopsis for the next episode reveals Tommy (Robbie Kay) determined to go back in time to save his grandfather, Noah (Jack Coleman). He even knows the exact point in time to go back and change it all, but his actions would then alter the present timeline in such way that the powers that be would cease to exist.
Tommy's plan, however, does not sit well with Erica Kravid (Rya Kihlstedt). In the promo video released, Erica is trying to convince Tommy to change his mind, saying "the moment you go back to stop it, all of us cease to exist". In the end, it would seem that Tommy is pushing through with the plan as he is shown sitting on the time machine.
Meanwhile, fans are left wondering what happened to Hiro Nakamura after he went running headlong to armed agents with a sword in each hand. In an interview with Los Angeles Times, Masi Oka shares his views on Hiro Nakamura's fate.
"The way I always wanted Hiro to end his story was to be in an infinite time loop with Charlie [Hiro's love interest from Season 1, played by Jayma Mays.] That's the way I would've loved to see him [go out]," Masi said. He added that the Hiro in Heroes Reborn is not really who many think he is and that the "future" Hiro is in an alternate timeline.
Although it has been clear during the first episodes of the series that Claire Bennet died during childbirth, it is still a mystery as to what the cheerleader was doing before she got pregnant. In an excerpt posted on Entertainment Weekly for Save the Cheerleader, Destroy the World, a fifth in a series of Heroes Reborn tie-in e-books, Claire helps the government in declaring an equal country where evos will no longer hide their identity.
Heroes Reborn Episode 11 will premiere in January 7 on NBC.
