DC's heroes are set for the upcoming Justice League Part 1. A new rumored synopsis for the film claim Darkseid as the main villain while other plot speculations suggest that Wonder Woman might not be the sole heroine in the superhero league.
In a report by Movie Pilot, a new rough synopsis has reportedly surfaced suggesting that Darkseid might be the big baddie that the superhero league will have to fight against in the two- part Justice League movie.
"The world's greatest heroes are assembled to form the Justice League, to combat a threat beyond each individual's capabilities. The story involves Darkseid planning the destruction of Earth by blasting it with a ray that'll move Apokolips into the Earth's place", the alleged synopsis stated.
While the statement has not been confirmed by Warner Bros yet, however, having Darksied for the film could mean that other villains who have been associated with the movie, such as Braniac, might appear in other smaller DC films instead.
Moreover, as reported by Screen Rant, Diana Prince's Wonder Woman might not be the only heroine to appear in Justice League Part 1. According to the trade, fresh rumors about the project claim that casting is currently underway in Warner Bros for the character of Black Canary.
Abbey Lee and Alona Tal are reported to be leading among other actresses considered for the role. Black Canary's inclusion in the DC Universe will not only be for Justice League but also for the advent of a female-centric team which will team her up with Barbara Gordon/Batgirl in Birds of Prey. Also as reported by We Got This Covered, the Queen of Atlantis, Mera, is also rumored to appear in the upcoming film, although, whether she will be included in the team like Aquaman remains to be seen.
Justice League Part 1 is set to be directed by Zack Snyder from screenplay by Chris Terrio. Henry Cavill is expected to reprise his role as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, and Ray Fisher as Cyborg. It is set to hit theaters on November 17, 2017.
