Android 6.0 Marshmallow update is starting to be issued in Motorola X Style in India. This comes after Motorola's announcement of rolling out the new version ten days ago. The new software update is expected to provide enhancements, specifically for the Motorola phone's Moto Assist, Motorola Migrate, and more.
Times of India mentioned that the new update will provide a new experience for Google Chrome extension that is found in Motorola Connect. More so, Motorola users would expect that the new update will bring better memory management, improved battery life, app permissions, do not disturb button, system IU tuner, and direct share.
To elaborate on the features of Android 6.0, Indian Express mentioned that Motorola will retire Google Chrome extension in Motorola Connect. This is for the reason that users have moved beyond SMS and other OTT messaging app. In this regard, such change will free up some space on user's phone. The report added that Moto Assist will be removed from Moto X Style phones, since the new update would come with Do not Disturb feature. More so, given that the new update will support user back up data, Motorola Migrate will also be removed.
Tech Times talked about the expandable storage as one of the features of the new software version. In which, SD card can be an extension of the internal storage of the device where users have the ability to choose such option. The report also said that Android 6.0 Marshmallow brings Doze Technology that helps in reducing battery drain. This is due to the mechanism that once the feature detects a prolonged inactivity, the phone will automatically go into sleep state.
To successfully install the new update, the device must have at least 50 percent of battery life and a stable Wi-Fi connection, related report recommended. On the other hand, Motorola Company did not provide further information on when it will issue the new update on its other devices.
