‘X-Men 7’ Production Begins by Late 2016? ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ Official Trailer Debuts in Star Wars The Force Awakens Premiere

'X-Men 7' is a planned sequel in the popular cinematic franchise based on the characters from the Marvel comic books. It will reportedly begin production in Montreal under director Bryan Singer by late 2016. Meanwhile, the official trailer for 'X-Men: Apocalypse' is set to premiere together with the release of 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' on December 2015.

According to Movie News Guide, a new installment in the X-Men cinematic series is set to begin production in 2017. Director Bryan Singer is working on opening a new production office in Montreal, Canada by late 2016 and will return to helm the planned sequel for the live-action adaptation of the Marvel comic book characters.

It was reported by Den of Geek that the upcoming film will not be the first shot in Montreal. The latest installment in the series, 'X-Men: Apocalypse' was also filmed in the locale. Mel Studios president Michel Trudel said, "It was a miracle that we managed to attract a movie X-Men in Montreal in 2013. To convince Fox to return for a second and now a third is simply amazing".

Principal photography for 'X-Men: Apocalypse' began in April 27, 2015 with the first-unit production wrapping up in late August followed with the second-unit wrapping in September of the same year. Additional shots for the film will be taken on January 2016.

Meanwhile, Singer announced that the official trailer for his latest film will debut together with the release of the new 'Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens' in December. According to Coming Soon, new images were released including one featuring leading man James McAvoy as Professor X donning the Cerebro.

Other actors making up the ensemble cast include Michael Fassbender as Magneto, Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique, Oscar Isaac as Apocalypse, Rose Byrne as Moira MacTaggert, Olivia Munn as Psylocke, Evan Peters as Quicksilver, Sophie Turner as Jean Grey, Tye Sheridan as Cyclops, Aexandra Shipp as Storm, Lana Condor as Jubilee, Kodi Smit-McPhee as Nightcrawler and Ben Hardy as Archangel. The adventure-fantasy film is set to be released on May 27, 2016 in the United States.
