‘Call of Duty Black Ops 3’ Easter Eggs, Nerfed & Buffed Weapons

After topping off Japanese charts, Treyarch and Activision's first person warfare shooter Call of Duty Black Ops 3 proved that it does not cease to amuse fans as it reveals in-game Easter eggs. Such have been discovered as the game progresses.

As the game was released, so is the fan community's hunt for Easter eggs. Design & Trend reveals that two of the latest findings are a hidden classic Call of Duty map and some references to the popular television series, Lost. There has been a full representation of the classic World War II inspired Carentan map in the original Call of Duty and Call of Duty 2. Despite being the dreaded battlefield in the first two games, Carentan now appears to just be situated on the other side of the map. As one may observe, it may be possible to see the entirety of Carentan on the middle of the arena where the flag usually is. The other surprise, however, is a much smaller detail. If one would take a peek at the Man-O-War gun, it pretty much reveals a reference to the Lost series which features the infamous 4 8 15 16 23 42 number sequence, which would ring a bell to Lost fans.

On another news, some weapons featured in the game were buffed in the Xbox One and PS4 patches. Among the weapons which got nerfed are the Haymaker 12, BRM light machine gun, Gorgon, and L-CAR 9, having either their recoil, range, or damage reduced. While the buffed weapons are the Dingo, KRM-262, and Argus. Realty Today further reports that a massive update added Barracks in the leaderboards, Cryptokeys and improved team balance in the Arena and Public Matches, and several fixes to user interface errors.

Meanwhile, other COD players appear to arrive at a certain point where they have encountered server connectivity issues this past weekend. Call of Duty Black Ops 3's official website, in response, announced that its servers were in Defcon 3, and that: "Online services are degraded. Users in some regions may experience connectivity issues." As Gaming Bolt opined, the multiplayer mode had long been the fan favorite in any COD game and it explains why server breakdown could be such a serious issue. In the meantime, Activision has not yet released an official statement regarding the issue.

Activision and Treyarch's first person warfare shooting game, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is now available for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3, and PC.
