Huawei Mate 8 has been recently made available in the Chinese market shelves. The successor of Huawei Mate 7 features a huge 6-inch display, a fingerprint scanner and other amazing specs that will surely capture the interest of phablet enthusiasts.
According to Yibada, the 6-inch display of Huawei Mate 8 supports 1080p resolution and has a pixel density of 367 pixels per inch. Even if this handset does not feature a display that is as crisp as that of the Samsung Galaxy Note 5, it is worth knowing that the new device from Huawei carries some serious hardware into the table.
Under its chassis is an octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 950 processor. This handsets boasts four 2.3GHz cortex A72 chips and four 1.8GHz A53 chips that are backed with a massive computing power of either 4GB or 3GB of internal memory choices.
Depending on the in-built memory, the Mate 8 is available in two variants; 32 GB or 64 GB. For users who need extra storage space, the Mate 8 has a microsSD slot that supports expansion cards up to 128GB.
India Today added that the Huawei Mate 8 is armed with a 16-megpixel camera that has an optical image stabilization, phase detection autofocus and dualLED (dual tone) flash. It is coupled with an 8-megapixel camera on the front.
The Huawei Mate 8 has been made using aerospace-grade aluminum and it comes with 2.5D curved glass. It also comes with a fingerprint sensor on the back and will be available in the colors: Champagne Gold, Moonlight Silver, Space Gray and Mocha Brown.
Furthermore, ISchoolGuide stated that the Huawei Mate 8 has a catch, which is its battery capacity. This gadget boasts of a 4,000mAh powerhouse that is capable of fast charging as well. The handset is 4G LTE capable and runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow as it comes out-of-the-box with the company's Emotion UI 4.0 on top.
Huawei is noted to be formerly known as a telecom networking vendor. Now, Huawei has become the world's third largest smartphone manufacturer and the addition of Huawei Mate 8 is expected to make it larger.
Even though there is a decline in the appeal of phablet devices, Huawei still hopes that Mate 8 will bring increase in sales and positive reviews. But with its awesome specs, the upcoming device might take the company a great leap in the smartphone race.
