Chinese electronics company Xiaomi is releasing another addition to their note series with Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 just a few months after its predecesor Note 2 hit the market. It is expected to bear greater upgrade than the last version with better batteries and finger print censor.
Xiaomi is releasing the upcoming model which will be different than its predecessor in a variety of ways. As reported by Digital Trends, it will have a sleeker and more expensive style with sandblasted metal on its body.
Compared to its predecessor, Note 3 will be thinner at 8.65 mm, but only four grams heavier at 164 grams. Its battery is also reported to be better at 4000mAh, with charging even faster with up to 50% within an hour. It has MediaTek Helio X10 Octa-Core 64-bit chip as its processor, and an Android operating system.
However, among these innovations, Latinos Health reported that its new finger print censor which is situated at the back portion of the phone, is the most notable, promising to unlock the device in 0.3 seconds. The new phone/tablet's screen is 5.5 inches, and will be released in silver, gold, and dark grey.
According to Android Pit, Redmi Note 3 will be released with a 13 MP rear camera, and 5 MP front camera with 1080 resolution. No official release date has been announced for the model although it is currently available for pre-order in the Chinese retailer GeekBuying and expected for release in December 31.
Two options will be available for the model, one version houses 2GB of RAM and 16GB memory while the other version has 3GB of RAM and 32 GB memory. The first option will be available for $141, and the next option will be sold in $171. As with Note 2, Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 is also unlikely to be released in the United States but will be available online.
