‘Heroes of the Storm’ Introduces New Game Map

Blizzard Entertainment's team brawling game, Heroes of the Storm, introduces a new game map tagged as the Towers of Doom, where a player cannot attack the enemy's core.

In a video review of VG 24/7, the site explained that players cannot damage the core directly. Instead, one can control the towers which spawn altars, and such altars would turn to be the ones to cause damage to the enemy core. Moreover, the area in front of the core are kill zones, but mercenary camps which go after enemy towers may leap over the kill zones and attack the core directly. The map also homes a boss who unleashes attacks on the enemy core when defeated.

In a game review done by Kotaku, it was found that the game randomly assigns different maps for each game a player queued up for. The game was very fast-paced and chaotic in a positive sense. While players cannot damage the core directly, the map's objective is to ironically destroy the enemy core. Each team's core is positioned behind an impenetrable wall filled with kill zones and has a line of outer defensive turrets. Whenever a player attacks and destroys the opponent's turrets, it comes back and becomes the victor's turrets. The site further revealed that the only way to destroy the core is to manipulate the rest of the map while capturing other objectives which remotely damage the core. These objectives appear in the form of spirit altars which pop up at different points on the map in regular intervals.

On another news, the game developer Blizzard filed a lawsuit against Bossland, a German company which created the buddy bots that enable players to cheat wildly in the game. iDigital Times reported that the developer is going to take an unsurprisingly uncompromising stance as it will sue Bossland for basing its entire business on cheating and the use of its bots negatively impacts the game and the developer's gaming community. Blizzard further stated that they will continue to defend their games and services within the legal bounds, with the effort of providing the gaming community the best possible experience.

Blizzard Entertainment's Heroes of the Storm's new map, Towers of Doom, is now available for gameplay.
