Mad Catz' space simulation game, Star Citizen, is progressing its way to development as it reveals more details, and even more that its crowdfunding scheme stays strong as ever.

Both Star Wars and Star Citizen fans alike will rejoice and feel more excited as it was revealed that Mark Hamill was casted and would play as the leading star in the upcoming game. Mark Hamill, who debuted in the original Star Wars film as Luke Skywalker shall now play as Lt. Commander Steve "Old Man" Colton. Crossmap reveals that Hamill is not new to gaming as he was casted to play the voice of Joker in both Batman: The Animated Series and Batman: Arkham games. Joining Hamill to voice the star-studded Squadron 42 are Gary Oldman, Gillian Anderson, Andy Serkis, Mark Strong, and Ben Mendelsohn.

Furthermore, MNR Daily reported that Hamill's character was teased in a trailer of the Star Citizen game. His character was shown climbing on what appeared to be a star fighter, much like his Star Wars character, Luke Skywalker. The site further revealed that the trailer included hints on how the ship repairs and how maintenance would fit inside the greater world of Star Citizen.

On the other hand, the game's development may just make it as Star Citizen's crowdfunding is nearing to reach the $100 million mark in cash donations. According to Niche Gamer, the game initially started crowdfunding on its own website since its development in 2012, and has now reached Kickstarter. The game's crowdfunding scheme remains strong as it draws even more support from fans like Chris, who have spent $30,000 cash on the game, and even tells that he is willing to further support the game.

Mad Catz' star-studded space simulator, Star Citizen is scheduled to release on 2017 for Microsoft Windows and Linux platforms. The prototype of its controller, on the other hand, is hoped to be released in the Holidays or early in 2016.
