Earlier in the month, Blizzard Entertainment's weekly Hearthstone Tavern Brawl introduced one of the most interesting rules, as it allowed players to team up within themselves instead of dueling against each other, in order to defeat Gearmaster Mechazod. On the other hand, The Battle of Tol Barad may end up with both players being killed instantly.
In the Unite Against Mechazod Tavern Brawl, players will have to team up and cooperate in order to defeat Gearmaster Mechazod who would switch between two sides of the playing field, depending on whose turn it is, and executes a variety of strong attacks. Tech Times further reported that the latter Battle of Tol Barad would get players to first build their own decks using the hero of their choice. Then players who play a minion gets a spell with the corresponding cost in his hand, while the mana cost being reduced to zero. There is even a combo that may end up to killing both players instantly.
As Gamesided commented, the weekly Tavern Brawl may be highly frustrating, but adds a beautiful element of weirdness to the game and instantly turns out to be fun. The Tavern Brawl is a mode which lays down a set of specific rules or gimmicks that change in a weekly basis which rewards a card pack in a player's first win. For instance, the Battle of Tol Barad forces both players to lose.
In the Tol Barad brawl, magical creatures escape from Tol Barad, a World of Warcraft zone. Here, a player creates one's own deck and each time a minion is played, a player gets a random spell of the same cost which requires zero mana to play. Basically, Touch Arcade suggests that one's deck should contain mostly of minions to ensure a good tempo. In general, a player can be sure that a lot of spells may be played in such match since all are free; therefore, one must plan accordingly while building his own deck.
Blizzard Entertainment's strategic digital card game, Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft gets even more fun with the set of unique rules being introduced through Tavern Brawls in a weekly basis.
