Android 6.0 Marshmallow is finally available for LG G3 via CyanogenMod CM13 custom ROM. The new android update provides modification that optimizes application performance as well as the device's battery function.
As reported by Latin Post, CyanogenMod has confirmed that CyanogenMod (CM13 Nightly) is already available for download in several mobile units including LG G3 Verizon-"vs985". "We've been pretty quiet publicly on the CM13 (Marshmallow) progress", CyanogenMod stated on their website. "Today, we've enabled the first wave of devices to receive CM13 nightlies", it continued.
Furthermore, according to International Business Times, Android 6.0 Marshmallow release is expected to begin in Poland and based on previous patterns, it could take a month or two before all LG G3 units around the world gets the firmware. Aside from that, the trade also listed the step by step procedure on how-to installation of the firmware in the device.
The new android update is expected to optimize application and battery use among many other features that it includes. According to a report by Android Geeks, Android 6.0 Marshmallow's new features include Doze battery optimization, full fingerprint support, faster Google browser, intuitive Now on Tap, and other various application permissions to enhance user experience.
Aside from the LG G3 Verizon, CM13 Android 6.0 Marshmallow is also available in OnePlus One "bacon", Nexus 7 "deb" and "flow", Moto X 2014 "victara", LG G4 "h815", Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 "mondrianwifi", and LG G Pad 7.0 "v400" and "v410".
In their post in the CyanogenMod website, the organization stated that the release of the update is currently limited to specific models, however, the roster is bound to expand in the next couple of weeks as they continue to work on the project. Android 6.0 Marshmallow update is currently available for download in LG G3 "vs985" in Cyanogenmod's official website.
