Ubisoft Is Set to Release Big Hitters Next Year, Including Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Wildlands

Premiere French game developer Ubisoft, went through ups and downs over the last couple of years, but 2016 might be their year with the release of new games, including Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands and The Division.

It seems like Ubisoft are emphasizing on open worlds and player choice next year. This tactical shooter game is the tenth installment in the Ghost Recon franchise. This time around, it will be set in modern times, with an open world environment that is set to feature a variety of environments. Nerd Much noted that Ghost Recon Wildlands shows some influences from Grand Theft Auto 5 and Just Cause 3.

In Ghost Recon Wildlands, gamers play out in third-person-shooter, where they can team up with their friends to take down drug cartel members all around the world. Players can mix and match their own styles and go for a long range approach or stealthy action. If Ubisoft Paris can make the players feel like they are making a difference in the game and have them see the outcome of their actions, this will make a huge difference in the gaming world.

Aside from Ghost Recon Wildlands, players will also get hooked next year to The Division, as it is going to bring a fresh and tension-filled game setting. The Division is a third-person-shooter game released in 2013 which puts players in the open world of New York City, where a plague has broken out. Ubisoft is set to launch The Division on March 8, 2016, reported The Gaming Effect.

Bryan, Garnier & Company, a reputable investment firm in Europe, claimed that now is the perfect time to invest in Ubisoft Entertainment. The investors were told that Ubisoft will publish five AAA titles in the next release cycle between Q3 2016 and Q3 2017, which includes Ghost Recon Wildlands, Far Cry Primal, new installments to Assassin's Creed and Watch Dogs series, and the brand new IP, For Honor, reported Division Blog.

Ghost Recon Wildlands is likely to be released in 2016 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC. Stay tuned for more updates for these upcoming titles from Ubisoft.
