HTC One M10 Release Expected After One X9; To Have Better Battery Life and Camera

By

HTC is expected to release two new flagship smartphones simultaneously: the HTC One X9 that is believed to hit the market first quarter next year and the HTC One M10 which will follow after. The latter is speculated to sport a better battery life and a better camera.

According to Ecumenical News, HTC will unveil the One X9 first which will follow the design of the One A9 and will probably cost around $499 while the One M10 will allegedly be launched right after the former is rolled out. The information was based on the tweet made by HTC ROM developer LlabTooFeR, who posted that the HTC One M10 will be unveiled two to three months after the One X9. This would make it in line for a spring launch in order to have a reasonable gap between the releases of the two handsets.

HTC has really worked hard for the development of One M10, especially after the not so good impression that was received by the M9. According to some reviews, it was due to One M9's overheating issues, downgraded battery and uninspired design.

At this moment, very little information is known about the One M10. It's not even confirmed if the Taiwanese tech giant will launch the device or if it will go with an altogether new smartphone.

Nevertheless, Christian Today reported that smartphone enthusiasts are hoping that the HTC One M10 will make it to the market. If it does, many would prefer it to offer a much more reliable battery, considering the unimpressive performance of its predecessor in that field.

There are reports suggesting that HTC is focusing on improving the imaging department of the flagship line. This is by giving HTC One M10 a rear-facing shooter loaded with an enhanced autofocus technology.

According to Yibada, the rumored smartphone would offer 4K pixel resolution on at least 5-inch screen display, resulting to sharper and clearer images. This handset is also expected to have a microSD slot of up to 2TB. This will be a big jump from the mainstream capacity of external storage of the smartphones in the market.

The One M10 is also expected to have a more powerful 4 GB RAM coupled with its high-end chipset which could be either a MediaTek Helio X10 chipset or Qualcomm 82X. It will also feature the newly trending wireless charging technology and carry two SIM cards which means the smartphone will be unlocked.

HTC has neither announced nor given any details of One M10 so it is advised to take all the reports and speculations about the alleged device with a grain of salt.
