While the "Fast and Furious 8" movie is said to be the ultimate Furious film, new characters are being casted for the project. Although the studio is silent about the details of the movie, Vin Diesel served as their unofficial spokesperson. Diesel confirmed the presence of a new character in the cast.
In an interview with MTV (via Latin Post), Diesel said Helen Mirren (The Queen, Red) will be joining them. "They've gotta get in line behind Helen Mirren. She is on the list," he said. The Oscar Award winning star has previously admitted her interest in joining the renowned Fast and Furious film. Diesel also teased the actress to "be careful what you wish for, Helen."
Furthermore, Diesel did not also fail to give an update about the upcoming movie. As the release date has already been scheduled, the Furious 8 is underway for its production as per the Youth Health Mag. While there are no details before, rumors and speculations has been linked to the film. And the actor has confirmed that the storyline has been plotted out and new characters will be expected.
Now, the cast promises a high-class must watch movie with "a very rich property". Meanwhile, Yibada reported that the Fast and Furious family remembered the late Paul Walker on his second death anniversary. It has been two years this year but Tyrese Gibson admitted that it was still not easy. On his social media account, he shared a photo with Walker as he paid a tribute and prayers for the late actor.
Furthermore, Gibson requested his fans to pray for the soul of his brother as he called him. On the other news, the original "Furious 8" cast, Gibson, Ludacris, Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez, are reprising their roles.
But aside from Mirren, Diesel does not plan to name the other new characters that will be joining them. "Fast and Furious 8" is slated for a release date on April 4, 2017.
