According to the Heroic Hollywood, Ryan Coogler is being eyed to helm the Marvel movie franchise. While he is in negotiations with Marvel, he was shortlisted as the top contender for the post. Besides, he admitted his willingness to work on huge commercial fares. This may imply his interest to take the offer.
This won't be the first choice for the director's chair. In actuality, Ava DuVernay (Selma) was first offered but turned down the offer. Aside from them, F. Gary Gray (Straight Outta Compton) has chosen the Fast and Furious 8 over the "Black Panther" movie project. However, Collider insisted that the studio is trying to cement their crew and the needed details for the movie's production.
