After the release of G4, the South Korean brand, LG, is not slowing down yet as they heavily rumored their flagship handset, the LG G5 which will be an upgraded version of their device with sophisticated security system and sleeker design.
LG is rumored to release another model of handset early next year and according to a report by Cross Map, the introduction of the new handset is heavily speculated to take place at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) during the first quarter of 2016.
Rumored specs for LG G5 suggest a sleeker look with its all-metal design which will be new for the brand. According to Christian Today, it is also rumored to be released with 5-inch to 6-inch range in QHD display.
It is also speculated to be one of gadgets to house a Snapdragon 820 processor along with 4GB of RAM, and 32GB internal memory. The new model is also expected to fight the competition's finger scanner, with more sophisticated security features through their iris scanner.
LG is reportedly working with IRIENCE, a Korean biometric specializing on developing iris scanning technology. Their technology is said to be able to scan iris up to 50 centimeters away. However, even with the enhanced security features, appearance and display consumers are still keen to know if the new handset will still have removable batteries especially after Samsung released their new Galaxy Note 5 with non-removable batteries.
LG and Samsung are notable to be two of the few companies which release removable batteries. But new rumors suggest that the release of non-removable batteries for Galaxy Note 5 might be also a premonition for the shift of LG. According to Digital Trends, rumors about the handset suggest that along with the advent of new features, is the release of non-removable batteries and absence of microSD card slot.
LG G5 might be released with 3,000-mAh or 4,000-mAh to be able to make the gadget last longer with its new advanced features. However, until official confirmation is released about the product, rumors must be taken with a grain of salt. Price range for the handset has not been revealed yet.
