PSY is back with a new track titled "Daddy".
The Korean popstar who created worldwide buzz with "Gangnam Style" is highly anticipated for his seventh album with a rather upfront title, "Chiljip PSY-da," which translates to "This is PSY's Seventh Album."
PSY currently released two songs for his nine-track LP, but "Daddy" contests to his fame leading the album over his other track, "Napal Baji."
"Daddy" has already reached 20million views to date, 5million of which shoot up in just 24 hours. The Korean artist managed to keep the addicting element from "Gangnam Style" that keeps his viewers hyped up in its four minute duration.
PSY ultimately uses the same formula for his new songs which showcases strange visuals, butt shots, toilets and his CGI'd face being attached from a baby to a school boy, to a Latin dancer, to an old man and to other different personas coupled with his dancey rhythm and catchy lyrics like "You be my curry, I'll be your rice."
And as if he wasn't enough to bring on the heat in his songs, his album boasts of guest artists including Ed Sheeran, Gaeko, Will.i.am, XIA, CL and Zion.T., Korean singer CL of 2NE1 and Korean actress Ha Ji-Won makes their appearance in the official music video of "Daddy" dealing with the Gangnam playboy thru the song.
As it is, "Daddy" is eyed to follow its predecessor in boosting PSY's stardom, but to beat "Gangnam Style" that made a viral video history earning the Guinness World Record for most watched video online, and most "liked" video online, fans are doubtful it'll beat its phenomenal daddy track.
PSY continues to live up to his iconic impression and provides fans with amusing quality tracks, but it remains a question if he'll be able to beat his own record with "Daddy" or not. In any case, people are happy to have a new addicting beat to dance to.
