The showrunners of "Castle" Season 8 have shut down rumors regarding Kate being pregnant and explained why it would not happen. It has also been reported that for the next episode of the show, Castle and Beckett hunt down a killer together.
In "Castle" Season 8 Episode 8, fans were able to see that Kate and Rick were able to reunite and fix their marriage. However, the showrunners of the series said that the pregnancy of Kate is not a priority for this season.
Design & Trend shared, "This was a question that came up at the beginning of the season, and for us, at least right now, we don't know how the show would work like that. I understand that other shows have done that, but for us, because Beckett is so 'boots on the ground,' kicking a** and taking names, it's hard to imagine what a pregnant Beckett solving cases look like."
In the upcoming episode of "Castle," Kate and Rick will be teaming up to solve the murder of an acapella group member, as reported by Christian Today. Episode 9 entitled "Tone Death" will be featuring Corbin Bleu who plays Hunter Washington, the leader of the rival acapella group suspected to be behind the killing.
Fashion & Style also shared that Kate and Rick will try to keep their renewed romance on the low from their colleagues at the precinct. Showrunners Terence Paul Winter and Alexi Hawley said that in the first episode for the second half of the season, there will be sequences done by them to ensure that the couple will not reveal that they are together again.
The showrunners added, "They're basically keeping the face of their relationship as broken up, but in secret they will be staying together. There's a lot of delightful sequences as to how Castle and Beckett are working cases; how they have to relate to each other when they're around Esposito, Ryan, or anyone else. It's paid off some wonderful dividends because of this new arrangement."
"Castle" Season 8's second half will be airing in February 1 on ABC. The show will see Kate and Rick trying to keep their renewed relationship and solving another murder together.
