Luther Season 4 Premieres Dec. 15 With Idris Alba's A-List Co-Stars Rose Leslie, Darren Boyd, and Laura Haddock

The British crime drama series 'Luther' returns to the small screen for its fourth installation with Luther on the hunt for a cannibalistic killer. Season 4 welcomes new faces from Game of Thrones' Rose Leslie, Veep and Spy's Darren Boyd, and Da Vinci Demons' Laura Haddock.

Spoilers for the soon to be premiered Luther, starring Idris Elba as DCI John Luther, bragged on exciting combat-filled scenes on Season 4. The series will take off from the finale of the previous season and begin Season 4 with a haunting feeling of the life he is used to - deaths and violence.

TV Wise spoiled some details involving the main plot for Season 4. Luther will once again find his self in London with a reportedly highly intelligent cannibal serial killer on the loose and outsmarting every police and detectives in London. Luther will be recalled back to his post as he is the only one qualified to hunt down the killer.

According to Independent, Luther Season 4 will only comprise of two hour-long episodes, which many called as a Christmas special. Series creator Neil Cross pointed out that the series' boundless format has helped the production team to be more innovative and visionary. Neil added that he and his team were more than thankful for the limitless and open arrangement they have with BBC.

Luther Season 4 will meet respected names and well-known faces in the British television and movie scenes. Latest addition and guest stars for the forthcoming season is none other than Game of Thrones' Rose Leslie, Veep and Spy's Darren Boyd, and Da Vinci Demons' Laura Haddock, Popsugar reported. Leslie is to play DS Emma Lane, Boyd to portray Theo Bloom, and Haddock as a mysterious character from Luther's past. Michael Smiley will reprise his role as the nerdy technician Benny Deadhead Silver.

Luther Season 4 is scheduled to premiere on 15 December 2015 on BBC.
