Samsung Electronics is expected to unveil another flagship smartphone from the S series line named Samsung Galaxy S7. The South Korean tech company is believed to have an internal heat pipe to address overheating issues on the chipset.
According to Phone Arena, a few months ago, during the time when Qualcomm is about to unveil the full specifications of its upcoming Snapdragon 820 chipset, a rumor has surfaced saying that the SoC is agonized by overheating issues. With this, the world's leading mobile chip manufacturer quickly addressed these rumors, assuring that the Snapdragon 820 runs within parameters.
As reported recently, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S7 might integrate a heat pipe to address this issue. Samsung is believed to be testing various heat pipe types and shapes, and the manufacturer is said to decide for or against this heat-dissipation solution by the end of the year. Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, Xiaomi Mi Note Pro, and OnePlus 2 are noted to have all tried a similar solution in an attempt to minimize the Snapdragon 810 overheating problems.
Apart from the internal heat pipe, Expert Reviews stated that Samsung uses a 5.1in 2,560 x 1,440 Super AMOLED screen in the S6 and S6 Edge and it seems that the screen size will be continued for the next-generation of Galaxy S. Now, the query is that if Samsung will go for a full 4K (3,840x2,160) resolution for its next phone. But the site claims that with this screen size, the extra resolution won't be that noticeable. The screen, however, will draw more power and affect the battery life of the handset.
Furthermore, Latinos Health reported that Samsung has a new BRITECELL camera which is speculated to be better than the ones used on the Galaxy S6. It is still unclear if the S7 will arrive sporting this technology.
Another speculation is that S7 might have a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera and 5-megapixel front snapper. With the release of the Android Marshmallow, it will also be likely to have it as its OS as it comes out of the box.
These are merely speculations though, and to date, the confirmation is still awaited from Samsung Electronics. But if proven to be true, addressing the overheating issues of the chipset might become an edge of the Samsung Galaxy S7 from its predecessors.
